Overview

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a timed multi-aptitude test designed to determine if you are qualified to enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces and assign the appropriate job in the military.

Format

The ASVAB is administered via computer or paper and pencil.

Subtests

The ASVAB contains a total of nine subtests which are primarily designed to measure aptitude in four domains: Verbal, Math, Science, Technical, and Spatial.

Test Lengths and Time Limits





Test lengths and time limits vary but generally range between 11-16 questions which must be completed between 7-39 minutes depending on the subtest.

Scores

Scores on all of the ASVAB tests are used to determine the best job for you in the military.
