Two Ways To Spy On Your Competitors’ Facebook Ads 🔍

TTS

Having a competitive advantage in business is vital to long-term success and one of the ways you can ensure that you’re never one-upped is to carry out competitor research *cough* spy on them *cough*. Sorry about that, I think I may be coming down with something. 😷

And if there’s one thing I know as a former Intelligence Analyst at the National Security Agency (i.e. The NSA), it’s spying. I mean, researching! No seriously, there is a form of intelligence collection known as Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT). I digress.

Okay enough of the history lesson here are two ways to spy on your competitors’ or even non-competitors’ Facebook ads.

Facebook Ad Library

Here’s a How-To video that I made but I will also detail the steps below.

1. Navigate to any business/fan page on Facebook using a desktop computer

2. Scroll down slightly and on the right side you will see Page Transparency. Click See More.

3. A pop-up will appear. Click Go To Ad Library.

4. You’re now a certified marketing spy 🤓

Email Notifications

I came across a tool called AdInboxMe by PixelMe which sends you email alerts when competitors that you list launch new Facebook ads. This seems like a more passive way to stay up to date on their endeavors than having to remember to go to the Facebook Ad Library.

It’s literally as simple as inputting your email address and their Facebook page’s URL. I have no affiliation with this company by the way and have yet to try it myself. I will follow up with my experience but please share with me your experience if you have used it before.

Good luck and come back to let us know in the comments below how these hacks worked out for you!
