Keyun Ruan is doing her PhD at one of world's leading research centers for cyber crime investigation in School of Computer Science, University College Dublin. She is supervised by College Principle and Dean of Science as well as Director of UCD Centre for Cyber Crime Investigation Prof. Joe Carthy, and co-supervised by Prof. Tahar Kechadi. She is funded by Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology (IRCSET) and European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company N.V. (EADS). Her research area is a relatively green but rapidly emerging area called Cloud Forensics. She is to address the question of how to carry out digital investigation in the Cloud Computing environments during her PhD. Her research interests are Cloud Forensics, Cloud Crime, Cloud Security, Cloud Computing, Digital Forensics and Cyber Crime Investigation in general. At the moment, she is also working on her edited book "Cybercrime and Cloud Forensics: Applications for Investigation Processes" to be published by IGI Global in 2012.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
