Sala Pilot Reportedly ‘Dropped Out Of’ Commercial License Training

According to a report by CNN, David Ibbotson, the pilot whose plane crashed while carrying footballer Emiliano Sala in January, had previously dropped out of training for a commercial pilot's license. The Cranfield Aviation Training School's managing director, Stuart Smith, said that Ibbotson studied their and left 'a third of the way through the course." CNN reports that the revelation raises questions regarding whether the flight was legal.
