Rockville Centre’s Maple Lanes Uses New Technology For Bowling

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Bowlers at Maple Lanes RVC are getting a new experience on the alleys.

The family-owned bowling center in Rockville Centre combines creative graphics, lights and video game concepts to take the sport to another level.

Maple Lanes is using technology by Spark Augmented Reality Bowling, becoming one of the first bowling centers in the New York area to feature this state-of-the-art technology.

"We are excited to offer our customers this new, interactive bowling experience," said Joe LaSpina, Vice President of Maple Family Centers, a Rockville Centre-based family-owned business that owns Maple Lanes RVC and four other bowling centers. "Spark gamifies an existing game, and it makes group events, birthday parties and family outings more fun."





Bowlers choose from a menu of imaginative themes – all projected onto the lane. Scoring becomes more fun as well, such as awarding customized milestones within a game, and various special graphics enhance add more to hitting the pins.

Spark is the innovation of industry leader Brunswick.

"Guests can select their Spark experience directly on their Sync tablets, choosing from more than 15 animation themes and even projecting their own photos, scores, and stats right onto the lane," Brunswick Bowling CEO Corey Dykstra said.
