Report Shows Donald Trump Helped Jared Kushner Get Top-Secret Security Clearance

The New York Times recently released a report about President Donald Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner. The report says Trump ordered then-White House chief of staff John Kelly to give him top-secret security clearance. According to Business Insider, Kelly reportedly had reservations about giving Kushner clearance. Then-White House counsel Don McGahn also was concerned and recommended Kushner be denied clearance. Although Trump legally can grant security clearance, he denied playing a role in the process.
