Enter Quadmetrics, a company developed by Michigan engineers that predicts with up to ninety percent accuracy how a given company will be exploited by cyber criminals. Quadmetrics’ advanced algorithms essentially helps corporations navigate the labyrinthine market for data security solutions in order to pick the one best suited to help them.
ABOUT THE PROFESSOR
Mingyan Liu is the Associate Chair of Graduate Affairs and Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan. She is also co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Quadmetrics. Her research interests are in optimal resource allocation, sequential decision theory, incentive design, and performance modeling and analysis, all within the context of communication networks.
