Novi-based Learning Care Group names chief technology officer – The Oakland Press

Abe Hong was named executive vice president and chief technology officer at Novi-based Learning Care Group, Inc., effective Aug. 2. Hong will report to Learning Care Group CEO Mark Bierley, according to a press release.

Learning Care Group is a for-profit early education and childcare provider, operating nearly 1,000 schools in 38 states and internationally.

Hong has more than 20 years of corporate IT leadership experience in public companies and in consultancy. Hong was previously executive vice president and chief operations officer at Technologent, a global technology services company. Before that, he served as chief information officer at Discount Tire. Hong has also held leadership roles at Red Rock Resorts, Starbucks, and Andersen Consulting.

Hong has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
