BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Northwest Indian College is working to fix its systems and networks after a ransomware cyberattack.
A spokesperson says the Ryuk ransomware virus corrupted its internal files including backups.
While the college works with authorities to determine next steps, the school will be open for regular business hours but with limited services.
Video conferencing hybrid classes are also down temporarily.
NWIC urges the community to ensure their networks are backed up offsite or in the cloud to avoid issues with critical systems and data.
