CASPER, Wyo — The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office will receive thermal imaging technology to enhance law enforcement activities, according to Natrona County Commission Chairman Paul Bertoglio.
The $34,793 grant agreement though the state and federal departments of Homeland Security, as well as the Federal Emergency Management Agency, commission approved, was approved on the commission’s consent agenda Tuesday, October 19.
The purpose of the agreement is “for combating domestic violent extremism” and “to improve the ability of the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office to prevent a threatened or actual act of terrorism.”

The performance period of the grant agreement is from September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2023.
