The High Technology Crime Investigation program reflects the changing technology environment of the 21st century. With computer-related crime on the rise—ranging from criminal cases and civil disputes to medical malpractice, employee misconduct and even acts of terrorism—there is an urgent need for a new type of investigator, one who can combine the sciences of information technology and forensics with the arts of investigation and critical thinking.
The program provides experienced and aspiring security professionals with a fundamental understanding of the legal, technical, management and behavioral factors associated with conducting computer-related crime investigations. We partner with the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences to offer scholarships for U.S. students to study computer security and information assurance at GW, including digital forensics.

•Take 12 multidisciplinary courses (36 credit hours), consisting of 10 required courses and two electives
•Attend classes on evenings and weekends at a convenient Arlington, Va., location
