The ConVal, Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative and Mascenic school districts announce that the Region 14 Applied Technology Center (ATC) will host an open house as a part of Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month Saturday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the ATC, 184 Hancock Road in Peterborough.
At the open house, visitors will have the chance to explore the ATC and meet program faculty, try out industry-current equipment and speak with current CTE students. The open house celebrates CTE Month, which takes place annually in February with the goal of raising awareness of the value of CTE, including its role in preparing students for college and their future careers.
In addition to the open house, students from the three districts will take class field trips to the ATC throughout February.
The ATC provides career and technical education opportunities in a variety of fields, including audiovisual arts, automotive services, business, computer programming and networking, construction, engineering, firefighting, manufacturing, teacher education and web design.
