Men’s Rowing finishes fifth at WPI

WORCESTER, Mass. - The RIT men's rowing varsity eight turned in a time of 6:19.50 with a fifth-place finish at Lake Quinsigamond, Sunday.

Bates (6:02.20) took first, followed by Hamilton (6:04.35), host Worcester Polytechnic Institute (6:07.19) and Washington College.

Members of the RIT varsity eight boat were Ben Clements, Alex Carey, Tommy Moore, Dan Shaw, Matthew Lindstedt, Keenan Gildea, Andrew Cuomo, Gage Blackwell and Jake Michalski.

The regatta featured all five crews ranked in the top 12 of the initial IRCA Division III Coaches Top 15 with the Bobcats first, Continentals fifth, Engineers sixth, Shoreman 11th and Tigers 12th.





The 2V reached the final buoy in a time of 6:44.70, behind Bates (6:13.70), WPI (6:23.87) and Hamilton (6:36.93).

Men's Rowing next travels to Ithaca on Saturday, April 16 for a Liberty League match.
