CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - If you’re looking for a career change and to do online schooling, the newly accredited Health Information Technology program at Laramie County Community College may be what you’re looking for.

Students can now be recognized for the national R.H.I.T. certification, which can help students move on to Bachelor programs.

86 percent of graduated students find employment within 6 months of taking this program, and health information and coding are highly sought out in many fields.

“It’s something that students will be able to work into their lives. If they have families, and they have jobs, they still will will be able to study and get through the program. We’ve had many people who have done it and it leads them to some wonderful job opportunities,” said Ann Howard, Program Director, Health Information Technology Program.

The A.A.S. degree is for 2 years and students may be eligible for scholarships and grants.
