Fernando 'Corby" Corbato, the computer scientiest who invented computer security passwords, has died.

He was 93.

An MIT researcher, Corbato came up with the idea of password-protected user accounts for his Compatible Time-Sharing System, which allowed for several people to use a single computer simultaneously.
