EY hires Rohit Garg as Partner in technology consulting practice
Rohit Garg has joined EY’s UK partnership, as its financial services cloud team leader. He joins as EY looks to double the size of its financial services technology consulting practice in the UK.
Usage of cloud computing in finance has skyrocketed throughout the pandemic. The shift to remote working resulted in more financial businesses utilising cloud-based technologies than ever before, with one report from IDC finding that 89% of banks were currently operating with or planning to operate with a hybrid cloud solution. Offering better scalability, sustainability and security, uptake of cloud solutions shows no signs of slowing, either.
The potential of the cloud for financial services firms looking to digitally transform their businesses is enormous and demand for consultants who can help the transition to cloud is therefore set to spike. As EY ramps up its client offerings in this area, it has added expert Rohit Garg to its team.

Garg becomes a UK Partner in EY’s expanding financial services technology consulting practice. As the Big Four firm responds to rising market demand for digital and emerging new tech support, Garg will lead EY’s UK financial services cloud team, while it looks to double in size over the next two years.

Arriving at EY with over 20 years of technology consulting experience, Garg spent the last 16 years spent at Cognizant Technology Solutions. Most recently working as Global Head in Technology & Architecture for Cognizant’s Google cloud business, he was also formerly Head of Digital Engineering, where he helped clients drive business growth by leveraging digital capabilities and cloud computing.
