‘Elementary’ Season 7 Episode 9: Sherlock And Watson To Investigate Returning Serial Killer : Entertainment : Business Times

The show is about to celebrate a new milestone as Episode 9 marks its 150th episode. And to honor the big event, it looks like a serial killer returns.
"In the wake of a sculptor's murder in New York, Sherlock (Johnny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu) must determine whether a long-dormant serial killer has resurfaced," Elementary Season 7 Episode 9 official synopsis read. "Watson suspects Holmes is keeping something from her regarding tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach (James Frain)."
Things will get pretty intense with the return of a serial killer to the forefront in "On the Scent." There will be the big question of who this returning murderer is and if it is someone who Sherlock and Watson have faced before, per CarterMatt.
If it is someone who they already dealt with, Sherlock and Watson have to take their investigation on another level as the assassin surely knows their style. There may also be a more significant threat for the two as the killer may understand how they move.
Aside from this killer, Sherlock and Watson also have to deal with Odin in Elementary Season 7 Episode 9. Sherlock is doing everything to find a way to stop Odin, but he has a hard time to bring him down with his connection to the National Security Agency (NSA). Although Watson feels like he is keeping her out of the loop, he is only doing it to keep her safe.
Odin will return to continue his plan in Elementary Season 7 Episode 9. Sherlock told Joan there was nothing they needed to do with him, and it was already in the hands of the NSA. However, he only told her to keep her out of danger.
But as the NSA is in league with Odin and him, he may find a way to know the truth about Odin's plan without Watson's help. From the looks of it, Sherlock will have a lot on his plate in "On the Scent."
From catching Odin red-handed, he also has to find this returning killer. As Sherlock and Watson may already meet this big bad in the past seasons, fans may see a guest start coming in the new episode.
There are a lot of people viewers may want to see the return in the series. So, fans have to wait and see who will it be in Elementary Season 7 Episode 9, "On the Scent," when it hits the small screens on Thursday, July 18, on CBS.
