Master Builders Association of Western Australia (MBA WA) recognises the importance of technology growth in the building and construction industry. The transformative nature of well-implemented technology means improving work-flows and reducing the administrative burden on the building and construction process.

MBA WA has recently launched a new product called eDocs. The move follows hot on the heels of eDocs implementations in other states and territories, with the move expected to significantly reduce time spent on contract management.

eDocs with DocuSign has been built on the latest technology stack, meaning it works efficiently with all common web browsers, offering a suite of Master Builder contracts and supporting documents in both the residential and commercial sectors.

Contracts are also digitally protected, ensuring users do not have to worry about security and privacy concerns.

MBA WA worked closely with legal partner Jackson McDonald to ensure contracts remain steadfast and are easy to navigate for builders and clients. Member benefits include access to free legal guidance, up to 30 minutes, from Jackson McDonald.

Executive Director of MBA WA, John Gelavis acknowledged the building and construction industry is behind on technology development; eDocs incorporates technology and moves the industry a step in the right direction.

“In another technology-driven move, MBA WA partnered with Australia’s leading property development data engine, pointData, last year. This partnership helps complete the pointData artificial intelligence-driven technology rollout in the West and supplies property development data analytics and associated products to MBA WA members at a special rate,” said Mr Gelavis.

“MBA WA is continually looking for new technology initiatives that will assist our members in developing their business and the WA building and construction industry.

“This initiative is critical in protecting businesses and providing greater support and value for Master Builders members.”
