Dasuki’s family members awaiting his release, urge Buhari to obey court order ▷ Nigeria news

- Meanwhile, a group of well-wishers and sympathizers have offered to stand as sureties for the erstwhile NSA in the latest court judgement

Family members and associates of the detained ex-NSA Sambo Dasuki are eagerly awaiting his release after four years in the custody of State Security Service (SSS).

The family members urged President to consider the Appeal Court’s ‘landmark’ judgement, having disobeyed previous courts’ rulings ordering that Dasuki be granted bail, PR Nigeria reports.

According to them, the president needs to release Dasuki after the latest judgement. They added that with this, six different judges have now ordered his release.

“We are anxiously waiting for President Buhari’s government to obey the latest order of the Court of Appeal by releasing our breadwinner. So far six different judges at the FCT high courts, Federal High Courts as well as Ecowas Court of Justice have ordered for the immediate release of Dasuki after perfecting the bail condition which were never obeyed.

"We pray that with the unanimous judgment of a panel of the Appeal for Dasuki’s immediate release, the government will obey the order coming from a higher court in the land.”





The news-outlet reports further that a group of well-wishers and sympathizers have offered to stand as sureties for the erstwhile NSA in the latest court judgement at the Appeal Court.

Recall that Legit.ng had reported that former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki, was granted a N100 million bail by the Court of Appeal.

The court demanded that Dasuki should provided sureties in like sum, and that they must have valuable properties located within its jurisdiction and that they must reside in Abuja.
