Cybersecurity Is a Male-Dominated Field, but Cybersecurity Law Doesn’t Have to Be

As companies attempt to keep up with rapidly changing regulations while still protecting themselves from increasing threats of data breaches and cyberattacks, cybersecurity law has become a hot market, with many law firms now branding themselves as experts in the field.

For now, it is too early to tell if, as the field grows with new talent, the gender imbalance found in other areas of legal will translate to cybersecurity law. But if the cybersecurity field as a whole is any indication, it is one that remains overwhelmingly occupied by men.
