Uber hopes to launch robot delivery technology ‘elsewhere in the world’
Uber’s Product Manager in Autonomous Mobility and Delivery Dean Apostolopoulos says food delivery robots are “definitely on the roads” as a collaboration between Uber and Serve Robotics caters to food deliveries in West Hollywood.
“Certainly, with these partnerships we are learning and continuing to develop as we go along,” he told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.
Mr Apostolopoulos said Uber is continuing to learn and work with its partners to “launch this technology elsewhere in the world”.
“I think we’ll see this innovation take us in multiple different directions.”
