76% Of Execs That Embrace Technology Are Confident About Hybrid Work

A new study from Genpact explores both the confidence and concerns that executives have about their workforce becoming more hybrid.

The study Tech for Progress 360 studies how well companies that rely on technology to advance their bottom line, support company culture, become environmentally conscious, and boost their DEI efforts are faring.

The first of three reports “Tech for Progress 360: Engage employees, strengthen company culture” reveals that 76% of senior executives whose companies have adopted new tech believe that their firm will be able to support their workplace culture under a hybrid model.

Although the majority of respondents agreed that company culture can be maintained under a hybrid arrangement, it was found that network building (91%), onboarding processes (48%), and relationship building (42%) have struggled during the transition.

Additionally, these executives noted an improvement in their business’ performance over the last few years, indicating that embracing new tech means more than streamlining processes — it also enhances work quality.

“[In] a post pandemic world, leading companies will be defined not just by their ability to get work done, but in their ability to create agile, adaptable, hybrid work environments that allow culture and creativity to thrive,” said Tiger Tyagarajan, CEO of Genpact.

“To lead through this seismic shift, businesses must combine digital technologies and smart data to drive actionable insights that integrate employees into company culture, enable collaboration, and maintain learning and wellbeing — whether people work remotely, in the office, or blend both.”
