TORONTO, April 22, 2022 /CNW/ - Youth Employment Services (YES) is launching an innovative Cyber Security training program, funded by the Government of Ontario's Skills Development Fund to train Canadian post-secondary youth and Ukrainian refugees.

With cyber security on the rise, and due to the conflict in the Ukraine, likely increasing further, the demand for cyber security experts is outpacing the number of qualified applicants. The YES program will provide post-secondary youth who disclose mental health issues the opportunity to complete a cyber-security certificate, Cognitive Behaviour therapy, specialized pre-employment, mentorship and future skills training followed by a work placement program. This program will empower youth, Ukrainian refugees and job seekers who face barriers a clear pathway into meaningful and reliable employment.
