TTS Demo

Window security screens are an excellent way to add piece of mind to any commercial building or home. Security screens are very effective when it comes to keeping would be burglars out. Unlike window bars that tend to make a home look more like a barred up jail, security screens are flush against the window and can be painted to match the colors of your home. Insect screens can easily be cut or pushed in to gain entry into a home. Window security screens provide great protection not only from intruders, but flying objects as well because they are normally made out of steel that can not be cut or pushed in.

These are available through several manufacturers, all of which offer different styles to choose from. They are made out of a special steel that can not be cut, unless you have a special cutting tool. The screen is housed in a steel frame that is normally welded at all four corners, preventing an intruder from pushing or pulling the screen out of the heavy duty frame. Security window screens are very similar to the security screen doors that many of use on our front door. While it is easy to look out of the security screen, it is not as easy to look in, adding additional privacy. Another advantage to window security screens is that they cover the entire window. Window bars have a gap between each bar that a ball, rock or any small object can slip through. With a window entirely protected with a security screen, you do not need to worry about accidents or sever weather breaking your window glass. Window security screens are also available with many different screen patterns to choose from. Depending on the manufacturer, patterns can range from a basic steel wire, to an attractive decorative patterns. Most manufacturers offer custom paint options so that you can perfectly match the colors of your home so that screens add to the attractiveness of your home rather than taking it away.

Depending on the type of window, they can be mounted several ways. Using tamper resistant bolts, they are secured to the frame of the window and will either hinge open from one of the sides, top or the bottom. Most cities have a fire code that prevents a window from being completed blocked. The window must be able to open from the inside to allow for an emergency exit during an emergency. Most commonly, window security screens have a single release point that is inside so that in the event of an emergency the screen can quickly open. Other types of screens use a single key lock in order to open the screen. This type of release is mostly used in rehab buildings or places that want to keep occupants in as well as intruders out. Since burglars like to go undetected, most homeowners install window security screens over the windows that are out of view by street traffic and neighbors. They are a great way to deter any would be intruder. They will look at the screen and move to another home that will be less of a challenge to burglarize.
