We Talk With Android’s Original Engineer About Creating an Operating System for the Kitchen

As I wrote when I reported yesterday morning about the new funding round for Drop, one of the most interesting aspects of this new round for the kitchen software startup is the fact that Steve Horowitz, the lead engineer during Android's formative years, has joined the Drop board.

Drop's made no secret that it wants to be a kitchen operating system, so bringing on someone who helped create the software that helped create the most widely used smartphone software platform is a good start.

I caught up with both Ben and Steve this week to discuss the funding, where they see the future of kitchen going and what the long term impact of the recent COVID driven quarantines will be on the consumer kitchen.
