Waiting for Vivo V11 Pro Android 10 (Funtouch OS 10) update? Here’s what we know so far

TTS

Despite being under the radar (at least in the Indian market), Vivo has maintained its position as one of the biggest Android smartphone manufacturers in the world.

One of the reasons being is the constant innovations that the company brings forth every year. Don’t forget, Vivo was the first OEM to bring an actual working phone with an under-display fingerprint scanner.

While the company is keeping up with its impressive run in the smartphone market, it is a bit lazy when it comes to pushing software updates for its devices, as a handful of devices as of now, have picked up the update.

Slowly, Vivo is seeding the Android 10 updates for its eligible devices. Recently, the Vivo X21s grabbed the Funtouch OS 10 update but, it was not based on Android 10.

For a reminder, Vivo X21s which is the Chinese equivalent of the Vivo V11/V11 Pro is included in the official Android 10 (Funtouch OS 10) update roadmap shared by Vivo.

So, it is certain that the V11 Pro Android 10 update is in the pipeline in the near future, and should also bring Funtouch OS 10 along with it.

And adding a cherry to the cake, as per user reports, Vivo customer support has also confirmed that the Vivo V11/V11 Pro is an active part of the Android Q plan of Vivo and the update is expected to roll out soon.

As far as Android 11 update is concerned, as per our speculations, the Vivo V11/V11 Pro will not pick up the Android 11 update, as the device comes with Android Oreo out of the box and Android 10 would be the device’s second major OS update.

So, to summarize all the above information, V11/V11 Pro users have to wait for some time (as there is no ETA) before the Android 10 update finally starts hitting on their units and quite certainly, it will be the last major OS updates from the OEM.

We will keep you posted once anything related to V11/V11 Pro Android 10 updates, comes across our table.

Thanks, Aman for sharing the info!
