North Korea’s lead negotiator in nuclear diplomacy is expected to hold talks with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday.
Reuters reports the negotiator could also meet President Donald Trump during the visit.
The visit is aimed at clearing the way for a second U.S.-North Korea summit.
The U.S. and North Korea met last year for denuclearization talks.
However, there has been no movement towards denuclearization since those talks.
