Two seventh grade students at Lennox Middle School are being recognized for art they created that serves as public service announcements about cybersecurity.

A spokeswoman for the Center for Internet Security only provided the students' first names, and said Teagan placed ninth for her drawing, and Karlie placed 11th for her drawing.

Teagan's drawing touches on the dangers of cyberbullying, and reminds Internet users to be empathetic to the person behind the screen.

Karlie's drawing encourages Internet users to choose strong passwords over weak ones, and shows examples of what a strong password should look like.

Karlie, a seventh grader from Lennox Middle School, drew this picture reminding Internet users to opt for strong passwords over weak ones. Karlie's poster scored 11th place in the National Cybersecurity Awareness Poster Contest.

The Center for Internet Security and the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center chose 13 winners from the national "Kids Safe Online" poster contest out of 260 submissions across the country.

This contest was open to students in grades K-12 and was meant to educate children about the dangers lurking online and ways to protect themselves.

Winning artwork will be made into posters, as well as featured in the 2023 Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center calendar.
