'The Plowing Day'
A Day of a farmer, Farmer's Day
Late in the spring, as the time to plant was getting shorter, a farmer woke early in the morning. Today he was going to plow his field.
When he got to his tractor, he found that it was out of gas, so he started off to buy fuel near his farm.
On his way, he recalled that he forgot to feed the pigs, so he stopped to take the feed to the barn.
Then, he found that the potatoes that he planned to take to the market were sprouting vines. He stopped to pull some buds off some of the potatoes and then remembered that the firewood for his fireplace had run out.
He went to the woodshed to get the firewood. As he carried the firewood from the woodshed to the main house, the farmer saw that one of his chickens seemed sick. He gave the chicken some quick first aid and then hurried off to the main house with the firewood.
As he stacked the wood, the farmer peered out his window and realized that the sky was completely dark.
The farmer thought, “Today was such a busy day” and he went to bed.
No planting; no harvest.
