The New Normal: Thriving in the Age of Cybersecurity Crises

Powered by iSpeech

Are you prepared for the next ransomware attack? Effectively dealing with one is the difference between the success or failure of your company.

In June, Pillsbury and LEVICK co-hosted a complimentary luncheon to discuss the new normal—an age of cybersecurity crises where no business, organization, individual or government entity is safe. Our panelists:
Andres Franzetti – Chief Strategy Officer at Ridge Global (founded by Tom Ridge, the first U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, to help organizations decrease security risks); founding member of the Risk Cooperative, and former engagement manager for Clements Worldwide.
Brian Finch – Pillsbury Public Policy partner and leader of the firm’s Cybersecurity team, a known authority on global security and cybersecurity threats who has been recognized in these areas by Legal 500 U.S. and Law360.
Richard Levick – Chairman and CEO of LEVICK Communications, author of several books and crisis communications leader for high-profile campaigns—including Guantanamo Bay; the Catholic Church; the Wall Street crisis and the Gulf oil spill.
Tom Campbell – Pillsbury partner and leader of the firm’s Crisis Management Team who has spearheaded notable crisis management efforts such as the Deepwater Horizon and Midwest Fertilizer crises and the Exxon Valdez spill as general counsel of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Moderator: Fusae Nara – Pillsbury partner and leading litigator who has been at the forefront of crises from an in-house and outside counsel perspective. She is native Japanese and represents multinationals in cross-border disputes.

The participants discussed what company executives and in-house counsel should do to survive, and even thrive, when the seemingly inevitable cyber crisis happens within their organizations.
