When you get to most places of business, you're stopped at the door, checked for a mask and your temperature is also checked, but what if all of this could be done without being in contact with other people?

"It's so relevant to what people are dealing with," said Phillip Houser, the CEO of Document Solutions, Inc.

DSI is a local company helping schools, restaurants and other businesses get their hands on something called OneScreen GoSafe.

"Let's face it, we want to get back to going to a restaurant, but we also want to feel safe when we go into a place of business that they are doing all the right protocols to ensure the safety of the individuals there," Houser said.

The CEO of OneScreen, the hardware company that makes the technology GoSafe, said it's a safer alternative to being in close contact with others.

"The idea is; take all the precautions to ensure we are only allowing those people in public places that can keep the environment safe for everyone else," said Sufian Munir, the CEO of OneScreen.

They've sold close to 3,000 units in the last six to seven weeks nationwide and in New Mexico, more than 400 orders were taken in one month.

"Re-opening is needed. You cannot continue the way we are going for a very long time, but as we reopen, it's really important that we take all the right measures," Munir said.

Even though the governor has ordered restaurants to stop indoor dining starting next week, restaurant owners are still working on ways to open back up safely in the future and one of those ways making its way around New Mexico is OneScreen GoSafe.

The unit comes in a wall mount, counter piece, or a floor stand. They cost around $2,000 each.
