Tech question on new Dell XPS 15. Unable to get straight answer from Dell.
I'm strongly considering the purchase of a new Dell XPS 15 9500. I have asked a question of Dell 3 times, and received responses of Yes, No, and Maybe. Wondered if anyone out there has one of these laptops and can help clarify.
Can I add a second SDD? Apparently there are two slots supporting up to 2TB. I want to order a 256GB SSD and have the option to add a second 256GB for data or possibly a dual boot.
Dell's on line chat response said Yes. The service manual references installing and uninstalling SSD 1 and SSD 2. Asking the question on the product's page returned answers of No, and Maybe. An email query requesting clarification has gone unanswered for a week. (Don't get me started on my opinion of Dell's pre-sales support!)
Anybody have first hand experience with this?
