In addition The biggest threat is now Hoax or Scam talk talk calls. If any customer receives a call or email from talk talk, you should treat it as toxic. This advice has been echoed tonight on Watchdog on BBC1.

What this means is ignore emails from Talk Talk. I suspect they will announce any further advice via their own site or through the press. If you get a call from someone claiming to be from talktalk hangup the phone. Then from another phone dial the number on your talktalk bill to check. Why use a different phone? Because people have been caught out by the fraudsters staying on the line, keeping the line open to them. Playing a dial tone down the line so when you pickup the phone you think you have a clear line. You then dial the number and they turn of the dial tone and say "Hello Talk Talk customer service"

So by using a different phone from the one you were just called on, and by that I mean if the call your land line you call back from a mobile, you are sure you are actually talking to talk talk.

Talk Talk Cyber Attach is the 3rd that has been made public for this company. Is it a sign that their security budget is squeezed because of low pricing structure.
