Cyber warfare is a hot item

WILLEMSTAD - The sixth conference of the ICT platform ISACA Curaçao is filled with interesting topics. An eye-catcher is the presentation by the Italian professor, Claudio Cilli, about Cyber warfare. Stuxnet is known with which the security services CIA and the Israeli Mossad destroyed the entire Iranian nuclear program. The conference will take place on Wednesday 25 and Thursday, September 26 at the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten.

The cyber warfare Stuxnet is very topical. Volkskrant journalist, Huib Modderkolk recently wrote a book "It's war, but nobody sees it." For example, with the help of the Israeli Mossad, the American secret service CIA was able to lay down the Iranian nuclear program, without Iran noticing it. It took years before they discovered the specially developed computer worm that was installed with a smuggled in USB stick.

Another notable subject is the American speaker, Kevin McCarthy. He talks about his book: "Blind spots - Why good people make bad choices." That is about the largest stock fraud in Washington State in which he was unknowingly involved. Kevin’s boss committed the fraud and he was arrested and spent 33 months in prison without knowing what went wrong. Behind the bars, Kevin had plenty of time to think about how it happened. He will explain during the conference as to how you can discover the blind spots that impede your influence and influence your decisions.

The two-day ISACA conference will also deal with other topics such as: Distributed Ledger Technology (block chain), securing the cloud, implementing of Cyber Security Control s and the effective use of the budget for computer security. Speakers are from America, Italy, the Netherlands, Aruba and Curaçao. You can still register for the conference via the website: www.isacacuracao.com .
