Securing NI RIO Embedded Systems Using Security Enhanced Linux (SELinux)

iSpeech

Discover the new security tools available for NI CompactRIO and Single-Board RIO Real-Time Linux targets to support critical application security with Security Enhanced Linux (SELinux). We present a case study using NI Alliance Partner LocalGrid, who worked with our R&D group and security engineering company Tresys to create a virtual remote terminal unit (RTU) compliant with NERC-CIP V5 that manages smart power grid control over Internet. Considered part of US critical infrastructure, Smart Grids are subject to North American Energy Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC-CIP) regulations. Discover the new SELinux capabilities in CompactRIO/sbRIO and see how LocalGrid and Tresys are using this technology to protect against advanced cyber attacks and meet industrial security requirements like yours.
