Science Park over Technology: Newark Public Schools Holiday Tournament – Boys basketball recap

Science Park used a strong second half effort to defeat Technology, 60-47 in a first round game of the Newark Public Schools Holiday Tournament in Newark.

This tournament was supposed to be played in December, but was postponed until now due to COVID issues.

Trailing by a point at halftime, Science Park (7-4) outscored Technology, 18-14 in the third quarter before putting the game away with a 24-14 fourth quarter advantage.

Junior Micah McCants led Science Park with 16 points while Jaylen Smith added 15.





Technology (3-10) was led by 6-6 senior Marc Cosmeus, who had 15 points and 11 rebounds, while 6-0 senior Joshua Campbell scored 13 points.
