Redmi K20 Pro launched in India with Android 9 Pie software with MIUI 10 on top couple of months ago. Soon after the launch of the smartphone Xiaomi announced that the Redmi K20 Pro will be one of the first phones from Redmi to get upgraded to Android 10 software. Looks like Redmi is working very hard to live up to its promise of bringing Android 10 software to Redmi K20 Pro as soon as possible. Redmi India has announced Android 10 beta programme for the Redmi K20 Pro.
The company is looking for beta testers in India. The selected users will get access to Android 10 beta on their Redmi K20 Pro before everyone else. Xiaomi is asking interested users to fill a Google form and enter details like -- Mi Community profile link, Mi Community ID, Telegram app username, and more. It is worth noting that the registration process is on and will continue until September 8. After the slated date no one will be able to participate in the programme, Xiaomi has informed. The name of the selected beta testers will be announced on September 8. Xiaomi has revealed all users selected for the beta testing programme will get access to special Android 10 OTA update, special group called 'Android 10 Tester', and more. Considering the beta testing procedure will kick off soon we can expect all Redmi K20 Pro users to get Android 10 update very soon, as soon as the testing process is over.
Eligibility criteria for beta programme:
--Participants will need to own a Redmi K20 Pro
-- Must be an active member of Mi Community in India
--The participant's Mi Community ranking must be 'Semi Pro Bunny' or higher
--Participants must follow the rules of Mi Community
--Participants can't leak confidential ROM details provided to them during the testing procedure
-- Participants can't post anything related to the ROM or team on their social media or anywhere else
--Should be proficient in knowledge of MIUI and Android
The Redmi K20 Pro launched in India couple of months ago. The smartphone comes with MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. Unlike other Redmi phones, the Redmi K20 series come with very minimal advertisements.
