It's reported that the president’s national security adviser John Bolton left Turkey frustrated with the United States and Turkey locked in a political standoff that could threaten President Donald Trump’s plans for a troop withdrawal from Syria.
According to Politico Bolton angered Turkey’s president with his strong calls for the protection of U.S.-allied Kurdish fighters targeted by Ankara.
Bolton apparently left Turkey without seeing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan before heading out.
