The PLDT Group Data Privacy Office and Cyber Security Operations Group together embarked on the inaugural Data Privacy and Cyber Security Summit. The Summit was a learning event exclusive to the leaders and decision makers of PLDT Group companies and affiliates. Its primary objective was to impart knowledge of local and global Privacy laws and Information Security standards and best practices, such that compliance may be achieved and a culture of privacy and security may further be developed.
Dubbed as "Power in Protection", the Summit gathered close to 300 leaders from the different PLDT Group companies and affiliates, and emphasized the importance of protecting company information assets and personal data. With the vision of educating all employees about Data Privacy and Cyber Security and believing that our top executives should lead by example to achieve a secure and safe organization, the team invited global Privacy and Cyber Security experts, including NPC Comm. Raymund Liboro, to drive the important message of “Power in Protection” across.
