Orange Romania upgrades Business Internet Security Threatmap

iSpeech.org

Orange Romania launched a new version of its Business Internet Security Threatmap platform and the second edition of its cyber-security report. Internet Security Threatmap (BIS Threatmap) is a free tool designed to raise awareness on cyber-security for businesses and local authorities created by Orange specialists along with its partners.

Launched in 2017, the platform collects real-time data through the Business Internet Security platform. This platform analyzes over 5 million threats per month in the security infrastructure of Orange business customers. BIS Threatmap aggregates anonymised data and presents it in a form that can be easily interpreted.

The new version of the platform comes with an improved statistics section and analysis component (insights), which presents the source of the attacks, the total number of the attacks by impact and by industry, from the last 30 days. Also, a section was added in which the 100 most visited websites according to SATI (BRAT) are analysed weekly, anonymously and non-invasively. In this section, users can learn about websites' existing level of security and better understand the risks of using unsafe ones. These updates are based on information provided by Pentest-Tools and Dekeneas, both Orange Fab startups, and Ro Hacked.

Cyber-security report

People who access the BIS Threatmap can also download the second edition of a cyber-security report made by Orange specialists along with partners such as Bit Sentinel, Fortinet Romania or Cert-Ro. The report summarises the main cyber-security events for 2018, but also presents statistics at industry level through the Business Internet Security service. For example, such statistics show that public administration and transportation are the industries most affected by cyber-crime.

Business Internet Security is an Orange Business Services service, a division within Orange Romania that offers IT&C-based transformation products.
