One killed in road accident in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A 30-year-old man died after an iron rod pierced into his chest when his car rammed into the railing of Cyber Towers flyover early on Sunday.
According to the police, Akhtar Baig,30, a cloth shop owner from Balanagar along with his friend Feroz, Sikander and Mansoor had come to Madhapur to meet a friend around 1 am. Feroz who owns the car was driving the vehicle and the other three were seated in the car. The victim Akhtar was seated on the left side on the rear seat of the four-wheeler.
Around 1.45 am, the group of friends who had consumed liquor while returning home took the Cyber Tower flyover. “Feroz was driving the car at a high speed and rammed into the sidewall of the flyover. An iron rod cracked the windscreen of the car and pierced into Akhtar who was sitting in the rear seat,” said Goverdhan Reddy, sub inspector Madhapur police station.
On information the police reached the spot and pulled out the body from the car and shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. The body was later handed over to the family members after autopsy.
A case is booked against Feroz by the Madhapur police and investigation taken up.
