LEE COUNTY, Fla. - Lee County Manager Roger Desjarlais said in a news conference on Thursday no payment or personal information was compromised in the Sept. 20 cyberattack on the county.

Due to the ongoing investigation being conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Desjarlais would not provide any information about the investigation or any details surrounding the incident.

Desjarlais said nothing was stolen in the attack and all county online services are now fully functioning after being down.

"The services that had been down, we brought most of them down purposely to avoid more damage that happened with the initial attack," said Desjarlais.

The county began to take immediate action after the attack was recognized by their system, according to Desjarlais.

The county manager also assured Lee County employees they would be paid on time.

The only service not currently available is the web access to public use computers in the libraries, but Desjarlais said the county is working on getting it back up within the next couple of days.
