With Cybersecurity Awareness Month in October, what better way to elevate your organization’s knowledge of cyber risks and best security protocols than through Seton Hall’s new four-day intensive executive education Cybersecurity program.

Seton Hall’s School of Diplomacy and International Relations and the Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies are proud to offer the new Cybersecurity for Professionals in National Security and Corporate Intelligence Program.

Cybersecurity operations impact an increasing number of critical business processes and, as a result of the pandemic, organizations are relying heavily upon a remote workforce in substantially larger numbers. According to Proofpoint, Inc.’s annual State of the Phish report, “attackers were more active in 2021 than 2020, with findings uncovering that more than three-quarters (78%) of organizations saw email-based ransomware attacks in 2021, while 77% faced business email compromise attacks (BEC)."

With cybercrime on the rise, this unique program is designed to make cybersecurity available to average users while informing executives and managers of their potential roles and responsibilities. The Cybersecurity for Professionals in National Security and Corporate Intelligence program offers participants an opportunity to learn and understand various facets of Cybersecurity such as history and trends, introduction to malware, threat landscape, insider threats, attack vectors and how to avoid associated pitfalls by applying necessary security principles.

This program is designed for any professional in the workforce whose goal is to protect and secure its organizational data from cyber threats. As a great introduction into the field of Cybersecurity for careers in national security and corporate intelligence, students can learn more about cyber risks and security practices and apply them within their industry. Many leadership positions require a solid understanding of cybersecurity to lead businesses in a secure way, safeguard the privacy of individuals, address regulatory requirements and protect against malicious activity.

At the end of this program, students will have a greater understanding of cybersecurity’s role in the corporate environment, increased individual awareness of privacy and security and actionable measures they can take back to their workplace to implement.

The program consists of high-level modules over the course of four days: "Introduction to Cybersecurity", "Introduction to Cyber Attacks", "Introduction to Malware", and "Defense-in-Depth". Dates for the course are October 4, 5, 15 & 16 in a Tuesday/Wednesday & Saturday/Sunday format.

Seton Hall alumni interested in the program will receive 10% off. Interested alumni should e-mail CEPS@shu.edu for more information.
