Marvel Confirms Iron Man’s Technology is Practically Magic

Iron Man has the best technology in the Marvel Universe, and it impresses the new Daredevil so much that she even compares it to magic.

Spoilers ahead forĀ Daredevil #34!

Comic fans know Iron Manā€™s tech is the best, and Daredevil agrees, comparing it to magic. In Daredevil #34, on sale now in print and digital, Elektra, currently operating as Daredevil, receives medical treatment from Iron Man, and it impresses her so much she likens it to magic.

Over the last year, in the pages of Daredevil, he was put on trial and sentenced for murder. Daredevil decides to serve his sentence in his costumed identity, in hopes of inspiring others to do better. While he is in prison, Hellā€™s Kitchen is being watched over by Elektra, who has adopted the mantle of Daredevil while Matt is in prison. Elektra has picked the worst possible time to take on the Daredevil identity: Wilson Fisk, who has ascended to Mayor of New York City, attempted to clone the ruthless assassin Bullseye, an attempt that backfired on Fisk. Now, clones of Bullseye are stalking the streets of New York, killing innocent people. The citizens, scared for their lives, have deserted the streets, fearful of Bullseye. In the previous issue, Elektra confronted one of Bullseyeā€™s clones. The fight did not go well, and if it had not been for Iron Manā€™s assistance, the new Daredevilā€™s career may have been over before it ever got started. Now, in Daredevil #34, readers can see how good Iron Manā€™s nano-tech is. The issue is written by Chip Zdarsky, with art by Stefano Landini, colors by Marcio Menyz and letters by Clayton Cowles.

Daredevil is getting ready for another potential conflict with Bullseye. As she puts on her costume, she reflects on the nanotech Iron Man used to heal her. Daredevil is almost now completely healed, thanks to the nanobots. She is quite impressed and says Iron Manā€™s tech ā€œgives the Handā€™s mystical healing practices a run for their money.ā€

Elektra is impressed by Iron Man's nanotech, equating it with magic

Science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke once speculated that the technology of highly advanced civilizations would be indistinguishable from magic; it is called ā€œClarkeā€™s Law,ā€ and Daredevil gets to see it here. Iron Man is one of the foremost scientific minds in the Marvel Universe, capable of building high-tech suits of armor as well as nanotech that can completely heal a person. The feats Iron Man does in his day to day life would have seemed like magic to someone from a less advanced civilization. Daredevil, of course, knows it's science-based, but she has also had her own experiences with healing magic from her days as an assassin for the Hand, and she saw no difference between the two.

Iron Manā€™s technology is second to none in the Marvel Universe, and Daredevil has confirmed it, equating it to the healing magic she has used before.
