While we've known for months that Sony is skipping E3 2019, the company is still giving PS4 owners something to get excited about this June: its annual Days of Play sale. If you've been wanting to upgrade to the PS4 Pro or pick up a PSVR bundle, the Days of Play sale will be a great opportunity to snag the hardware you need. Plus, some of PS4's best recent games will be significantly marked down, and you'll be able to save on official merchandise from the PlayStation Gear Store.

Days of Play kicks off June 7 and will run through June 17, which overlaps conveniently with E3 2019. During that time, you'll be able to snag a PS4 Pro for $350 USD (details coming soon for Europe), and all DualShock 4 wireless controllers will start at $40 / £35 / €40. A limited-edition PS4 will also go on sale, but unfortunately, it's not a PS4 Pro. The steel black console features the four PlayStation shapes embossed in silver on the top and comes with a matching DualShock 4 controller. You'll be able to buy it for $300 / £280 / €300.

If you're considering taking the plunge and getting PlayStation VR, some bundles will be considerably cheaper during the 11-day sale. PSVR bundles will start at $250, a full $100 cheaper than their usual price. The bundles each come with a pair of games, such as Trover Saves the Universe and Five Nights at Freddy's; Borderlands 2 and Beat Saber; or Everybody's Golf and Blood & Truth. In Europe, the PSVR Starter Pack will sell for £180 / €200 and PSVR Mega Pack will sell for £210 / €230.

On the game side, we know the sale will include PS4 hits like God of War and Marvel's Spider-Man. Recent release Days Gone will also be on sale, along with MLB The Show 19. These games and others will be available starting at $20. (In Europe, some prices are already announced: Days Gone for £40 / €50, God of War for £25 / €30, and Marvel's Spider-Man for £25 / €30.) Older hits, such as The Last of Us Remastered, Uncharted 4, and Bloodborne will be on sale starting at $10 / £12 / €15.

While the PS4 is nearing the end of its lifespan, there are still quite a few highly anticipated games scheduled to release on the console, from Death Stranding and The Last of Us Part II to Borderlands 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. In the meantime, check out all the PS4 games we're guaranteed to see at E3 2019 (June 11-13).
