Maine Law Targeting Internet Providers Aids Privacy, ACLU Says

A Maine law limiting internet providers’ use of customer data protects free speech and should be upheld, the American Civil Liberties Union and other groups told a U.S. district court Friday.

Consumers have a right to go online and not have browsing habits shared without their consent, the ACLU, the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Center for Democracy & Technology told the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine.
