According to the Hamilton County, Tennessee District Attorney's Office, it is believed that 17-year-old Daphne Westbrook has been kidnapped and is being held against her will in either Colorado or New Mexico. On March 2, authorities took to Facebook to ask the public for help in locating the teen or her father, who is the suspected kidnapper.

Daphne and her two dogs, Fern and Strawberry, disappeared after an October 2019 visit with her father. She was later seen in the Denver area in November of 2020, with her Bible later being found in a trash can outside of a Santa Fe, New Mexico Trader Joe's in February. It is also known that Daphne's father, John Oliver Westbrook of Tennessee, spent several weeks in the Pueblo area last month.

John Westbrook is an IT expert that specializes in security and block chain technology, allowing him to communicate in a way that's nearly impossible to trace. It is known that he has been earning money from small businesses as a contracted employee working with computer security.

Authorities have made a specific appeal to the equestrian community to keep their eyes and ears peeled, as it is believed that Daphne's father occasionally takes her to ride horses.

Authorities have stated that Daphne is being held against her will and is unable to communicate with the outside world, both at physical and mental health risk.

If you think you've spotted Daphne, her father, or her dogs, it is requested that you contact the Hamilton County DA's Office by phone at 1-423-209-7415 or via email at findingdaphne@hcdatn.org. The Santa Fe DA's Office can also be contacted at 1-505-428-6926 or 1stdainvestigations@da.state.nm.us.
