Kanye West’s application to trademark ‘Sunday Service’ was denied

Text to Speech

Kanye West tried to trademark the phrase 'Sunday Service. But Business Insider reports his application was denied.
The US Patent and Trademark Office cited a 'likelihood of confusion' in its refusal.
Turns out, Jeff Jonas, known as DJ Escape, got "Sunday Service" trademarked in 2014!
West submitted an application in July for a line of "Sunday Service" merchandise.
The line included dresses, footwear, headwear, jackets, shirts, socks, and other apparel.
The rapper previously sold his religious-themed merch at Coachella, on Easter Sunday last April.
West sold products with phrases like "holy spirit," "trust god," and "Jesus walks" written on them.
The socks were priced at $50 while the sweatshirts sold for more than $100.
