This video is part of a Java Web Application Security training series. The series is designed to help Java developers understand the issues associated with securing today’s Java web applications. It is a foundation level course and does not assume any prior knowledge of information security principles or topics.

This video describes what SQL Injection is, how widespread it is, ways to test, and basic guidance to protect applications in production. Information on common weaknesses and vulnerabilities is also provided so that developers can view issues from the information security team’s perspective. A basic numeric SQL injection attack is then shown using WebGoat.
