IT training courses and where to find them

Like many others, I genuinely enjoy learning. I relish the opportunity to develop new skills and learn about new industries and technologies. This interest in learning has served me well over the years. That’s why when I worked as a recruiter, I encouraged each candidate to pursue additional training in their field of interest. When it comes to IT professionals, my advice would be the same.

Learning can benefit you in many ways, particularly when it comes to your career. The “Skills” section on your resume tells employers what you know while also hinting at what you’re capable of. With that in mind, the internet offers a wealth of IT training courses that will not only help keep your IT skills fresh but also motivate you to learn new things, gain new experiences and expand your IT horizons.

Finding the right IT training courses may sound cumbersome and intimidating. With so many online resources to choose from, finding the right course for you can take some digging. With this in mind, we’ve put together a list of IT training courses from organizations like Microsoft, Cisco, IBM and more.

1. Oracle University

Visit Oracle University to find hundreds of Oracle-specific courses and dozens of certification courses.

Check out the colleges located within your region, and you’ll likely find IT training courses that can be done both from home or on-campus. 

Taking a course locally can be a great way to build your personal network as well, which everyone knows can be immensely helpful when seeking career advice or searching for your next job.
